Beauty is the aesthetic category that means perfection, harmonic combination of the object’s look that causes the aesthetic admiration in others. Beauty is the most important category of culture. Beauty always provoked talks and gossips. It aroused different feeling in people from the most fascinating and inspiring such as love, admiration, fascination, impression, delight, joy, creativity to the most awful such as envy, revenge, jealousy, hater, etc.
Taste stuff
One of the notions that is connected with the notion of beauty is taste. I think everybody will agree with be that beauty is subjunctive. Of course there are certain criteria that make us consider and percept something either as beautiful or ugly. Nevertheless beauty is still subjunctive and something may be beautiful for one person and ugly for another.
Taste determines our qualities of beauty perception. Taste is the aesthetic category and is one of the objects of the aesthetic science investigation. In general sense taste is the specific specialty of beautiful perception.
Philosophers realised the necessity in finding the category that would determine the ability of a person to value aesthetically reality and perceive the object of arts and beauty. In 17th century people started to use the notion of taste to name such category that was similar to the human ability to differ the qualities of food. First the term "taste" in aesthetical sense was used in 1646 by Spanish philosopher. This term got into the use of philosophers very fast first spreading in the Western Europe. And taste considering led to the fact that in 18th century already taste became the most important criteria of the spiritual and art aristocracy.
Tastes differ – says the English proverb. And this proverb depicts one of the greatest philosophical ideas about the originality and speciality of every person including his/her preferences. It means that there are no common tastes there are only general trends.
