Beauty is the aesthetic category that means perfection, harmonic combination of the object’s look that causes the aesthetic admiration in others. Beauty is the most important category of culture. Beauty always provoked talks and gossips. It aroused different feeling in people from the most fascinating and inspiring such as love, admiration, fascination, impression, delight, joy, creativity to the most awful such as envy, revenge, jealousy, hater, etc.
Aesthetics
Aesthetics is the science about the development and foundation of the human sensitiveness. The main object of its investigation is the aesthetic knowledge and its efficiency, its norms and laws, its forms and types (together with the category of beautiful it investigates the great, the graceful, the tragic, the comic, and ideal), attitude to nature and arts, the artistic satisfaction and pleasure. It is also the philosophic science on the essence and the forms of beautiful in the artistic creativeness, in nature and in life, art as the special kind of the social ideology.
In ancient times scientists made attempts to solve the problems that referred to the sphere of aesthetics: Plato gave the idea of the beautiful, good, smart as the unique and the only category, Aristotle that studied drama and its beautiful effect, Pythagoras that was searching for the harmony in the numerals. Later these ideas were developed by philosophers.
During the epoch of medieval times aesthetics didn't get development. But the Renaissance and the French classics developed the ancient aesthetics giving it rebirth. In England the psychological direction in aesthetics appeared in 17-18 centuries. In Germany aesthetics found the exact definition of the certain notions in 17th century. The work of the artists of that epoch also made great contribution into the development of this science.
Nowadays aesthetic experience is understood as experiencing the value and is considered to be the philosophical value. The development of aesthetic views in 19-20th centuries was explained by basing on different philosophical knowledge from idealism to existentialism.
